Trailer for Joshua Oppenheimer’s documentary” The Act of Killing”.
Synopsis:In this chilling and inventive documentary, executive produced by Errol Morris (The Fog Of War) and Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), the filmmakers examine a country where death squad leaders are celebrated as heroes, challenging them to reenact their real-life mass killings in the style of the American movies they love. The hallucinatory result is a cinematic fever dream, an unsettling journey deep into the imaginations of mass murderers and the shockingly banal regime of corruption and impunity they inhabit. Shaking audiences at the 2012 Toronto and Telluride Film Festivals, The Act of Killing is an unprecedented film and, according to the Los Angeles Times, “could well change how you view the documentary form.”(via /Film)

The Red Band trailer For Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Only God Forgives’
For being the follow-up to Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Drive’, ‘Only God Forgives’ looks like a much more esoteric film. The cinematography on display in this trailer looks absolutely stunning. the combination of all of the bright neon, unique Bangkok locals and a Thai pop song creates a feeling unlike anything I’ve seen in recent memory in a trailer.
It’s a safe bet that Ryan Gosling plays another stoic character and I’m completely alright with that. The real surprise here is Kristen Scott Thomas who looks unrecognizable here.
This is one of those rare trailers that comes along and is a piece of art that could stand alone on it’s own from the film it’s promoting. The combination of slick visuals, haunting music and skillful editing, it’s a great example that displays the the art of the teaser trailer isn’t dead. We get a glimpse into a world that is unlike anything we can relate to that is filled with violence and beauty.
‘Only God Forgives’ is written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and opens later this year.

Or, as directors Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer acknowledge:
The movie is hard to sell, because it’s hard to describe, it’s hard to reduce. So we decided to make a really, really, really long trailer, and just put it out there. We hope you like it.

The International Trailer For Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’
The international trailer for ‘Prometheus’ delivers not only almost all entirely new footage, but even more glimpses of the ‘ALIEN’ elements that keep being eluded to. It’s surprising just how different the two new ‘Prometheus’ trailers are, but both are fantastic trailers. This new international trailer looks straight-up like an ‘ALIEN’ movie towards the end of it (possibly a face hugger or chest burster?) If your someone that cant get enough new footage from ‘Prometheus’, do yourself a favor and watch this right now.
