First teaser trailer for The World’s End, the final entry to the “Blood and Ice Cream trilogy” by Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
The Red Band trailer For Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Only God Forgives’
For being the follow-up to Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Drive’, ‘Only God Forgives’ looks like a much more esoteric film. The cinematography on display in this trailer looks absolutely stunning. the combination of all of the bright neon, unique Bangkok locals and a Thai pop song creates a feeling unlike anything I’ve seen in recent memory in a trailer.
It’s a safe bet that Ryan Gosling plays another stoic character and I’m completely alright with that. The real surprise here is Kristen Scott Thomas who looks unrecognizable here.
This is one of those rare trailers that comes along and is a piece of art that could stand alone on it’s own from the film it’s promoting. The combination of slick visuals, haunting music and skillful editing, it’s a great example that displays the the art of the teaser trailer isn’t dead. We get a glimpse into a world that is unlike anything we can relate to that is filled with violence and beauty.
‘Only God Forgives’ is written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and opens later this year.

Movie Trailer of the Day: Sci-fi flick Cloud Atlas, adapted from David Mitchell’s beloved 2004 novel, is “an epic story of humankind in which the actions and consequences of our lives impact one another throughout the past, present and future as one soul is shaped from a murderer into a savior and a single act of kindness ripples out for centuries to inspire a revolution.”
Or, as directors Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer acknowledge:
The movie is hard to sell, because it’s hard to describe, it’s hard to reduce. So we decided to make a really, really, really long trailer, and just put it out there. We hope you like it.
Starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant, the film is out October 26.

Movie Trailer of the Day: First official trailer for the Tim Burton-directed, Seth Grahame-Smith-penned big-screen adaption of cult TV show Dark Shadows.
Synopsis:
In 1752, the Collins family sails from Liverpool, England to North America. The son, Barnabas (Johnny Depp), grows up to be a wealthy playboy in Collinsport, Maine and is the master of Collinwood Manor. He breaks the heart of a witch, Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green), who turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. In 1972, Barnabas is accidentally freed from his coffin and returns to find his once-magnificent manor in ruin. It is occupied by dysfunctional Collins descendants and other residents, all of whom have secrets.
The film, which also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Lee Miller, Chloë Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, and Jackie Earle Haley, is set to open wide May 11th.

The International Trailer For Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’
The international trailer for ‘Prometheus’ delivers not only almost all entirely new footage, but even more glimpses of the ‘ALIEN’ elements that keep being eluded to. It’s surprising just how different the two new ‘Prometheus’ trailers are, but both are fantastic trailers. This new international trailer looks straight-up like an ‘ALIEN’ movie towards the end of it (possibly a face hugger or chest burster?) If your someone that cant get enough new footage from ‘Prometheus’, do yourself a favor and watch this right now.
The Full Trailer For ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3D’
Yeah, it’s a Spider-Man movie, you can say that much about it.
Sony has released the full trailer for their upcoming Spider-Man reboot, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3D’, and this is a trailer I’m torn on. There’s no reason for a Spider-Man reboot to the film franchise and advertising it “The Untold Story” seems so forced since the last thing moviegoers need is a Spidey origin tale. People know Spider-Man’s origins story, so going back and trying to tweak it ever so slightly seems unnecessary.
Instead of Norman Osborn we get Dr. Curt Conners (Rhys Ifans) who turns into the lizard. Mary Jane is swapped out for Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and there’s more added mystery into what happened to Peter’s parents, which was a non-issue in the earlier films, yet now there’s some mystery surrounding them (don’t care, dead parents make a hero better).
‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3D’ (yes, that’s the actual full title of the movie) looks polished and competent, but I just don’t care. Sony has basically said they don’t care about their Spider-Man franchise unless they can boss the director around and force whatever characters into the films that they feel sell better. I’m sure Andrew Garfield is a fine Peter Parker (even if I’ll never buy him as an outcast), and I love me some Emma Stone, but what if this movie doesn’t work out and they reboot the entire franchise once again. With so many other high profile superhero movies coming out, I’m just not the least bit interested in a story that I’ve kind of seen before as much as Sony wants to say otherwise.
