The First Full Trailer For ‘The Avengers’
“If we can’t save the world, we can damn sure avenge it.”
Marvel Studios debuted the first full trailer for Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers’ on Apple today. Considering this film is seven months away this is a very meaty trailer that gives people what they’ve been wanting. Action, witty banter and looks to actually fulfill on the promise of an ‘Avengers’ film, something people have been dying to see since it was hinted at in ‘Iron Man’. This is a fantastic first full trailer and so much more exciting then the teaser trailer that was attached to ‘Captain America’. I’m so excited and still can’t believe this film is actually happening.
‘The Avengers’ is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård. ‘The Avengers’ hits theaters on May 4th, 2012.
Movie Trailer of the Day: Finally! The first official trailer for James Gunn’s highly anticipated dark comedy Super.
Synopsis:
After his wife Sarah (Liv Tyler) hooks up with a smooth-talking drug dealer named Jacques (Kevin Bacon), Frank (Rainn Wilson) transforms himself into superhero “The Crimson Bolt”. Then with the help of a trusty wrench, Frank wages a one man war on crime. Libby (Ellen Page), a local comic book store employee, transforms herself into a superheroine named “Boltie” and becomes Frank’s sidekick. The two then team up to take Jacques down.
A release date has been set for April 1.
Spidey reboot officially titled The Amazing Spider-Man
The Spider-Man reboot has finally been given an official title and it’s… The Amazing Spider-Man! After months of being variously referred to as Spider-Man 4 and (our personal favourite) The Untitled Spider-Man Reboot Directed By Marc Webb, Sony have at last settled on that comic-linking title.
Which won’t come as a huge surprise to comic readers of the world, and probably means they’ll title any sequels with similar superlatives (The Spectacular Spider-Man for number two, anyone?). Not only that, but Sony have also let loose a second official shot of Garfield (we assume) in the Spidey suit, this one now complete with that iconic mask.
X-Men First Class trailer arrives
The first trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class has hit the web, and it’s whipped us into a frenzied excitement. Considering the movie is expected to hit cinemas this summer, there hadn’t even been much in the way of images until recently, so it’s exciting to finally get a glimpse of the 60s-set movie.
First Class focuses on the early days of the mutant superheroes, before Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik ‘Magneto’ Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) became bitter enemies. The trailer reveals some more plot details, including the fact that the film will take place during the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis - during which the US and Russia nearly started World War III - and that the plot will follow best friends Xavier and Lensherr as their relationship deteriorates.
Superman Classic, a short animated fan film made by Disney animator Robb Pratt.
